    About the role#

    This is a 6-month co-op opportunity for students pursuing an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields. You will join our site in Latham, New York, to support the development and maintenance of superconducting MRI magnet products. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist in the design, assembly, and testing of electronic controllers and superconducting magnets.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues on printed circuit boards.
    • Work with engineers and scientists to develop and implement design solutions.
    • Conduct experiments to evaluate the performance and reliability of prototypes.
    • Document test results and write reports on findings and recommendations.

    What you'll need#

    • Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
    • Hands-on experience in a laboratory setting.
    • Knowledge of lab safety protocols and standards.
    • Experience with 3D modeling, circuit design and analysis tools, and finite element analysis.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    • Location: Latham, New York.
    • Term: January through July 2027.
    • Work Modality: This is an on-site, full-time role.
    • Compensation: The hourly pay range is $26.00 to $29.00, and the role is overtime eligible.
    • Requirements: US work authorization is required. We do not provide visa sponsorship.
