About the role#
This internship supports the Manager of Training, Safety Development and Operator Qualification within the Field Operations Department. The role focuses on fostering a culture of safety through data analysis, documentation, and procedural review. Interns may accompany Safety Supervisors into the field to observe daily operations and participate in collaborative projects with other departments.
What you'll do#
- Review injury and motor vehicle accident reports to ensure accuracy and identify safety trends.
- Manage electronic filing of training documentation using established naming conventions.
- Develop and refine Microsoft Excel spreadsheets using formulas and code to track employee training and qualification status.
- Review, update, and develop safety protocols and work procedures.
- Assist with unique projects as assigned, working alongside supervisors and engineers.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student at an accredited college or university.
- Sophomore classification or higher.
- Pursuing a degree in Environmental, Industrial, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Good academic standing.
- Strong analytical and computer skills.
- Availability to commit 15-20 hours per week.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.
