About the role#
The Field Operations Department is seeking an intern to assist the Manager of Training, Safety Development and Operator Qualification. This role focuses on supporting the development of a safety culture within the department. You will work alongside supervisors and engineers on various projects, which may include field observations while riding with a Safety Supervisor to monitor daily work procedures.
What you'll do#
- Review injury and motor vehicle accident reports from the field to ensure accuracy and identify trends.
- Manage the electronic filing of training documents using established naming conventions.
- Create and refine Microsoft Excel sheets using code and formulas to track employee training and qualification status.
- Review current work procedures and update safety protocols or develop new procedures.
- Collaborate on unique projects with other interns, supervisors, and engineers across different sections of the company.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student at an accredited university or college.
- Sophomore classification or higher in good academic standing.
- Pursuing a degree in Environmental, Industrial, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Ability to commit to 15-20 hours per week.
- Strong analytical and computer skills.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.
