About the role#
This co-op position supports the Field Operations Department at Philadelphia Gas Works. You will work directly with the Planning, Engineering, and Construction Section to assist with daily departmental operations.
What you'll do#
- Assist with reporting and tracking methods for departmental programs.
- Support project design efforts.
- Review and provide input on current procedures and distribution standards.
- Research and develop instruction manuals for equipment usage and project directives.
- Document existing safety procedures.
- Review accident and claim reports.
- Help the Superintendent of Training and Safety with specific projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Engineering, Safety Science, or Occupational Safety degree program.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with various levels of staff.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
