Drexel Co-Op - Field Operations Planning - Fall/Winter 2026

About the role#

This co-op position supports the Field Operations Department at Philadelphia Gas Works. You will work directly with the Planning, Engineering, and Construction Section to assist with daily operations, departmental programs, and safety initiatives.

What you'll do#

• Support reporting and tracking methods for departmental programs.
• Assist with project design tasks.
• Review and provide input on current procedures and distribution standards.
• Research and develop instruction manuals for project directives and equipment usage.
• Document existing safety procedures and review accident or claim reports.
• Complete special projects and assignments as directed by the Superintendent of Training/Safety.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Safety Science, or Occupational Safety.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Organizational management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, often under short deadlines.
