About the role#
This co-op position supports the Field Operations Department at Philadelphia Gas Works. You will work directly with the Planning, Engineering, and Construction Section to support daily operations and departmental programs.
What you'll do#
- Assist with reporting and tracking methods for departmental programs.
- Help with project design tasks.
- Review current procedures and Distribution Standards to provide feedback.
- Research and write instruction manuals for project directives and equipment usage.
- Document existing safety procedures.
- Review accident and claim reports.
- Complete special projects assigned by the Superintendent of Training and Safety.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Engineering, Safety Science, or Occupational Safety degree program.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with staff at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
