About the role#
PGIM is hosting a 3-day sophomore externship in January 2027 at its headquarters in Newark, New Jersey. This program is designed to introduce students to the asset management business and explore potential internship and career paths within commercial real estate. Participants will engage in training, case studies, job shadowing, and networking activities. Those who complete the program may have the opportunity to interview for a 10-week paid summer internship for 2028.
What you'll do#
Externs will gain exposure to three key areas of the real estate platform: Equity, Debt Originations, and Agency Lending. You will learn how teams evaluate new opportunities and manage assets throughout the investment lifecycle. Specific tasks include:
- Supporting market research, credit analysis, property valuation, and financial modeling.
- Assisting with due diligence and the preparation of closing materials.
- Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to monitor property performance.
- Analyzing potential loans and investment opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited bachelor’s degree program with an expected graduation date between December 2028 and May 2029.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- A genuine interest in exploring careers across commercial real estate.
- Requisite US employment authorization, as visa sponsorship is not provided for this program.
