About the role#
Permian Resources offers a paid internship for students to gain hands-on experience in the oil and gas industry. You will work alongside a team of Geologists, Reservoir, and Geoscience specialists. Each intern is paired with a manager and a mentor to provide technical guidance throughout the program. You will participate in training, field tours, and networking opportunities, concluding the term with a presentation about your work and experiences.
What you'll do#
- Integrate data sets including reservoir behavior and well performance.
- Perform advanced mapping, log analysis, play fairway analysis, and core analysis.
- Incorporate seismic, operations, and public data into reservoir models.
- Build your geologic understanding of company assets.
- Complete a final presentation to showcase your project assignments.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a degree in Geosciences or a related field as a Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Graduate student.
- Expected graduation between Fall 2028 and Fall 2029.
- Minimum cumulative and major GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a team-oriented environment.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.

- Location: Midland, Texas.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Start date: Mid-late May 2027.
- Commitment: Minimum of 12 continuous weeks.
