About the role#
PCL Construction is seeking an HRPD Systems Business Analyst Student for our North American Headquarters in Edmonton, Alberta. This is a full-time, paid internship for the Winter 2027 term, spanning eight months starting in January 2027.
What you'll do#
- Provide support to system users.
- Respond to service requests, troubleshoot incidents, and investigate technical problems.
- Assist with the creation and updates of processes, training materials, and system documentation.
- Deliver web-based training sessions to end users.
- Coordinate with subject matter experts to refine requirements and conduct user acceptance testing.
- Develop stakeholder communications and document requirements for new systems.
- Create or update use cases to support functional designs and testing.
- Participate in system pilots, rollouts, configuration, and testing.
- Liaise with business, technology, and support teams to ensure systems meet business needs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a program such as Business Systems Analysis, Business Technology Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well within cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with HR systems, user support, technical writing, or training delivery is considered an asset.
