About the role#
PCL Construction is hiring a Planning, Scheduling and Lean Student to work at our North American Headquarters in Edmonton, Alberta. This is a full-time, paid position for the Winter 2027 term, spanning eight months starting in January 2027. You will report to the Director of Schedule Risk Management and contribute to various operational initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Collect and organize field production records to help build our historic data.
- Help plan and coordinate the PCL Planning, Scheduling and Lean Conference.
- Support the rollout of a new production tracking application.
- Assist with software reviews for Planning, Scheduling, and Lean functions.
- Update best practices and documentation for Planning, Scheduling, and Lean processes.
- Support documentation for PCL District reviews and other related initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Operations Management.
- A strong desire to work in a construction environment.
- Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software.
- Strong data analysis, planning, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of Primavera P6 (Web and Professional) and Acumen Fuse and Risk is an advantage.
- Experience with Power BI is considered an asset.
