About the role#
The Procurement & Supply Chain Intern will support the Diablo Canyon Power Plant procurement team with material coordination, technical procurement, and commercial operations. This role involves data analysis, forecasting, and reporting to support business decision-making and process improvement initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Create and manage SAP procurement master data to improve purchase order logistics and business processes.
- Assist the team with data analysis, data clean-up, and retrieving technical information or material history.
- Analyze material usage trends and suggest improvements for operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to optimize storage and investment recovery processes.
- Participate in quality control and broader process improvement initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a B.S. degree program for Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technologies, or a related engineering discipline.
- Must be continuing education toward your degree during or after the internship.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams) and Access.
- Knowledge of database management and experience with data analysis and manipulation.
- Ability to adhere to Safety First principles.
