Grid Innovation Delivery Summer Intern - Remote Grid Product

About the role#

The Grid Innovation Delivery (GID) team is seeking a student to support the Remote Grid (RG) program, which utilizes microgrids to provide power to customers and reduce wildfire risks. You will work directly with the commercial and product lead to develop business analytics frameworks, refine cost estimations, and analyze market data. This role offers the chance to learn how new technologies are scaled and integrated into PG&E’s energy operations.

What you'll do#

• Support cost estimation refinement, business KPI development, and market analysis for the Remote Grid program.
• Navigate various data systems to create a cohesive set of metrics to guide program strategy.
• Participate in regular standups and working meetings with cross-functional teams.
• Prepare and deliver a final presentation summarizing your accomplishments, learnings, and recommendations for the team.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s program for Business, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Completion of at least two years of college coursework.
• Intent to return to school in the fall following the internship.
• Demonstrated interest in new technology and product development.
• Ability to translate complex technical information into compelling stories.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with experience in statistics and data analytics preferred.

• Term: Summer 2026.
• Work Modality: Hybrid (approximately 2 days per week in the office).
• Compensation: $23.08 to $28.90 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
