EV Customer Programs Marketing, Education & Outreach Intern

About the role#

This internship supports the Clean Energy Transportation (CET) group, specifically the EV Advisory Services (EVAS) and residential EV Customer Programs (EVCP). You will contribute to the team's goal of accelerating clean vehicle adoption by increasing program visibility, developing educational messaging, and supporting outreach efforts for both residential and non-residential customers.

What you'll do#

• Conduct market research to identify electrification trends, customer and contractor segments, and new outreach opportunities.
• Develop messaging and content for presentations, program collateral, and outreach materials to help customers and contractors navigate electrification.
• Support engagement activities to attract new fleets and organizations, and generate applications for the EVAS program and Trade Ally Network.
• Manage outreach lists, track interactions, and record insights to improve team documentation and workflows.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Communications, Engineering, Marketing, Journalism, Digital Media, Advertising, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently and remotely.
• A strong interest in clean transportation, sustainability, or utility programs.
• Excellent communication, writing, and organizational skills.

Location & details#

• Term: Summer 2026.
• Work Modality: Hybrid.
• Location: Oakland, California.
• Requirement: Ability to travel to the Oakland General Office 1-3 days per month.
• Compensation: This is a paid position with an hourly rate range of $20.88 to $36.42.
• Note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
