About the role#
The EV Customer Programs Marketing, Education & Outreach Intern will support the Clean Energy Transportation group at Pacific Gas and Electric Company. This role contributes to both residential EV customer programs and non-residential EV Advisory Services. You will help increase program visibility and engagement by conducting market research and developing customer-facing communications to support the transition to electric vehicles.
What you'll do#
- Conduct market research to identify electrification trends, customer and contractor segments, and outreach opportunities.
- Develop messaging and content for presentations, outreach materials, and program collateral to help customers and contractors understand electrification benefits.
- Support marketing and engagement activities to attract new fleets and organizations to electrification programs.
- Organize outreach lists, track interactions with customers and contractors, and document insights to improve team workflows.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Communications, Engineering, Marketing, Journalism, Digital Media, Advertising, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently and remotely.
- Strong interest in clean transportation, sustainability, or utility programs.
- Excellent communication, writing, and organizational skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Oakland, California.
- Term: Summer 2026.
- Work Modality: Hybrid, with a requirement to travel to the Oakland General Office 1-3 days per month.
- Compensation: The hourly rate ranges from $20.88 to $36.42.
- Status: Full-time, paid internship. Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
