About the role#
The Compliance Strategic Initiatives intern supports projects within the Electric Risk and Compliance organization. This role focuses on advancing compliance goals, enhancing enterprise coordination, and fostering proactive risk management and continuous improvement.
What you'll do#
- Enhance and streamline existing processes.
- Develop proposals and implement strategies to strengthen the Electric compliance program.
- Evaluate technology-focused tools to improve program efficiency and effectiveness.
- Revise compliance-specific policies and standards.
- Support the team in cross-functional projects.
What you'll need#
- Currently earning a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems.
- Minimum 3.7 GPA in both cumulative and major coursework.
- Familiarity with identifying, documenting, or testing controls, compliance data systems, and evidence management best practices.
- Ability to influence others to achieve understanding, acceptance, and commitment to act.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
