About the role#
The Compliance Strategic Initiatives intern supports the Electric Risk and Compliance organization by driving priority projects and cross-functional initiatives. This role focuses on advancing compliance goals, enhancing enterprise coordination, and fostering a culture of proactive risk management and continuous improvement.
What you'll do#
- Enhance and streamline existing processes.
- Develop proposals and implement strategies to strengthen the Electric compliance program.
- Evaluate technology-focused tools to improve program efficiency and effectiveness.
- Revise compliance-specific policies and standards.
- Support the team in executing cross-functional project work.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Engineering, Business, Economics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems.
- Minimum 3.7 GPA in both cumulative and major coursework.
- Familiarity with identifying, documenting, or testing controls, compliance data systems, and evidence management best practices.
- Ability to influence others to achieve understanding, acceptance, and commitment to act.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
