About the role#

The Compliance Strategic Initiatives intern supports the Electric Risk and Compliance organization by driving priority projects and cross-functional initiatives. This role focuses on advancing compliance goals, enhancing enterprise coordination, and fostering a culture of proactive risk management and continuous improvement.

What you'll do#

• Enhance and streamline existing processes.
• Develop proposals and implement strategies to strengthen the Electric compliance program.
• Evaluate technology-focused tools to improve program efficiency and effectiveness.
• Revise compliance-specific policies and standards.
• Support the team in executing cross-functional project work.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Engineering, Business, Economics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems.
• Minimum 3.7 GPA in both cumulative and major coursework.
• Familiarity with identifying, documenting, or testing controls, compliance data systems, and evidence management best practices.
• Ability to influence others to achieve understanding, acceptance, and commitment to act.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
