About the role#
This PRN position offers students the chance to work in real-life clinical situations while earning their degree. You will perform imaging and radiologic services within your scope of practice under the direct supervision of a preceptor, provider, or instructor.
What you'll do#
- Gain exposure to imaging disciplines including x-ray, MRI, CT, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy.
- Assist in performing diagnostic imaging services using techniques learned in your coursework.
- Prepare patients for testing and focus on providing a positive patient experience.
- Maintain clean and welcoming testing spaces by ensuring equipment is free of clutter.
- Learn to transfer images and data to the appropriate electronic health system.
- Assist with quality control checks and the cleaning of equipment according to manufacturer standards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited imaging or radiology degree program as defined by ARDMS, ARRT, NMTCB, or CCI.
- Basic Life Support certification issued by the American Heart Association at the time of hire.
- Entry level knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic procedures.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of and ability to follow HIPAA guidelines.
- Ability to work as part of a diverse team and maintain accurate records.
