About the role#
The Clinton Policy Institute (CPI) is hiring a Graduate Intern to support research and policy work across our core focus areas. These include children’s wellbeing, democratic resilience, health, and economic security. You will work under the direction of supervising staff to conduct background research and produce written materials that inform our publications and briefings. This is a part-time, paid position designed for a current graduate student. You will gain hands-on experience with the policy research process at a think tank.
What you'll do#
- Conduct research on policy topics and synthesize academic, legal, and policy sources into clear summaries.
- Track and summarize legislation, regulations, court decisions, and policy developments at federal and state levels.
- Draft, fact-check, and edit written materials such as briefings and blog posts.
- Prepare materials for convenings and events, including principal briefings and follow-up documentation.
- Compile and analyze data on policy outcomes, access, and disparities.
- Provide general research and administrative support to the team.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor’s Degree.
- Current enrollment in a graduate degree program in policy, public health, law, international relations, government, or a related field.
- Between 0 and 2 years of professional experience in the field.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site in New York, New York.
- The role is part-time and paid at $17 per hour.
- The internship term is on a rolling basis.
