Student Tech PRN

About the role#

The Student Tech PRN position at OU Health provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a clinical setting. Working under immediate supervision, you will assist with diagnostic cardiovascular and radiologic technology procedures as directed by physicians and preceptors.

What you'll do#

• Assist in performing diagnostic, interventional, and surgical procedures using specialized cardiovascular and radiologic technologies.
• Prepare patients for upcoming procedures.
• Perform clinical tasks in accordance with established practice standards, guidelines, and protocols.
• Maintain department records, reports, and files.
• Manage inventory by ordering and stocking supplies.
• Ensure that procedure areas remain clean and prepared for incoming patients.

What you'll need#

• Currently enrolled in an accredited cardiovascular or radiologic technology program.
• Current BLS certification upon hire.
• Foundational knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
• Understanding of diagnostic cardiovascular and radiologic technology procedures.
• Ability to operate equipment associated with your primary specialty.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships with staff and patients.
