About the role#
The Student Tech PRN role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on clinical experience within the Pediatric Radiology department. Under immediate supervision, you will support diagnostic, interventional, and surgical procedures while developing your technical skills in a clinical environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist in performing diagnostic, interventional, and surgical procedures using various cardiovascular or radiologic technologies.
- Prepare patients for procedures according to established clinical practice standards.
- Perform procedures using specialized equipment under the guidance of a physician and instructor.
- Maintain department records, reports, and files.
- Manage inventory by ordering and stocking supplies.
- Ensure the procedure area remains clean and prepared for incoming patients.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited cardiovascular or radiologic technology program.
- Current BLS certification upon hire.
- Understanding of human anatomy and physiology.
- Knowledge of diagnostic cardiovascular or radiologic technology procedures.
- Ability to operate equipment associated with your primary specialty.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with patients and staff.
