About the role#
The Total Fund Risk team monitors the risk profile of the entire Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan portfolio. This includes asset classes like equity, fixed income, credit, and real assets. As an intern, you will contribute to risk governance and investment planning by supporting reporting, monitoring, and analytical activities. This is a 12-month internship running from May 2027 to April 2028.
What you'll do#
- Assist in preparing reports and presentations for senior leaders and the Board of Directors regarding risk modeling and budgeting.
- Implement on-demand requests from the Risk team and various investment departments.
- Conduct research and analysis to support risk modeling and enterprise risk system processes.
- Provide risk insights related to the macro environment.
- Work with team members to design and enhance analytics tools for investment decision-making.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or master's degree program in Computer Science, Finance, or Mathematics.
- Must be in your 3rd year of study or higher.
- Proficiency in Python and Excel.
- Working knowledge of PL/SQL and Power BI.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Must be returning to your studies after the work term.

- Compensation: $30 to $33 per hour, depending on experience.
