About the role#
This is a four-month internship within the Global Funds team at Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan. You will join the private equity arm of the organization to learn about the private equity industry and the funds business. This role is a full-time, paid position based in Toronto for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with local and global team members to evaluate new fund investment opportunities.
- Conduct industry and investment research using specialized databases.
- Prepare investment analysis, due diligence materials, and internal investment memorandums.
- Monitor fund relationships and participate in post-investment management.
- Learn about the tools and strategies used to manage private equity fund investments.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in the 3rd or 4th year of a Finance or Business Administration program.
- You must be enrolled in a co-op program or returning to your studies after the term.
- Strong quantitative, research, and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Pitchbook, Preqin, Bloomberg, and Capital IQ.
- A strong interest in Finance and Private Equity.
- Prior related work experience.
