About the role#
As an intern in the Real Estate Group, you will support the investing and portfolio management activities of our global real estate portfolio. You will assist in analyzing investments, developing value creation strategies, and tracking performance. This role involves working across multiple workstreams and acting as a liaison with internal departments to support our global investment mandate.
What you'll do#
- Support portfolio-wide initiatives and specific projects to execute global strategy.
- Prepare presentations and reports for senior management.
- Assist with asset management activities, including budget tracking, annual valuations, and capital needs projections.
- Help with periodic portfolio reporting, including key performance indicator analytics.
- Review, build, and use financial modeling tools to analyze investments.
- Research and analyze information to support the execution of strategic projects.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate program, such as finance, accounting, business administration, or real estate.
- Must be in your 2nd to 4th year of study.
- Must be enrolled in a co-op program or returning to your studies after the work term.
- Strong academic track record.
- Working knowledge of fundamental investment and valuation analysis.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong time-management skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
