    About the role#

    This internship takes place within the Capital Markets department at Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan. You will work alongside the Credit team, which manages internal and external allocations across Public, Private, Quantitative, and Structured Credit. This is a full-immersion experience where you will work directly with portfolio managers and investment professionals on daily activities and long-term research.

    What you'll do#

    • Build market analytics and support daily investment operations.
    • Vet and run profit-and-loss and risk reports.
    • Conduct research and analysis for current and new investment strategies.
    • Complete a term-length portfolio management case to develop your investment and risk-taking skills.
    • Attend networking and lunch-and-learn sessions to explore the work of other internal groups.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in a 3rd or 4th year undergraduate program or a related Masters' program.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and an interest in financial markets.
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
    • A working knowledge of Python and SQL is considered an asset.
    • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively in a collaborative environment.

    • Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
    • Term: Winter 2027 (January 2027 to April 2027).
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Compensation: $30 - $36 per hour, depending on experience.
    • This is a paid, full-time internship position.
