About the role#
This is a 10-week summer internship program beginning in June 2027. You will spend the first week in New York for training before joining the Eaton Vance Equity team in Boston for the remaining nine weeks. You will perform tasks similar to a full-time analyst, working directly with portfolio managers and equity analysts to gain insight into the firm.
What you'll do#
- Support portfolio managers and equity analysts with daily tasks.
- Conduct research on specific sectors, industries, and companies.
- Attend investment, company, and industry specialist meetings.
- Build and update financial models, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and valuation metrics, using company filings and public data.
- Extract data from financial reports and databases to support analyst coverage.
- Complete special projects within the Eaton Vance Equity group.
- Learn to operate various market data systems.
What you'll need#
- Pursuit of a Bachelor's degree with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Academic focus in Finance, Business Administration, or Economics.
- Strong analytical skills and a desire to learn.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills to manage time effectively.
- Attention to detail and a proactive, reliable approach.
