About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship within the Capital Markets department at Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan. You will join the Private Credit team for a four-month term running from January to April 2027. This role is based on-site in Toronto, Ontario. Applicants must be enrolled in a 3rd or 4th year undergraduate program or a related Masters' program, and must be part of a co-op program or returning to their studies after the term ends.
What you'll do#
- Monitor the ongoing performance of the existing investment portfolio.
- Support reporting requirements for the team.
- Conduct investment analysis alongside junior deal team members.
- Develop investment memos for the underwriting committee.
- Participate in a term-length portfolio management case to test your investment skills.
- Attend networking and lunch-and-learn sessions to explore other business groups.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a 3rd or 4th year undergraduate or related Masters' program.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated academic excellence and a clear interest in financial markets.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize time effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Eligible majors include Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Political Science, and Communications.

- Compensation: $30 - $34 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
