    About the role#

    This is a 4-month internship within the Global Funds team at Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan. You will work with the private equity arm to evaluate and manage fund investments. This role is based in Toronto and runs from May to August 2027.

    What you'll do#

    • Learn about the private equity industry and the funds business.
    • Conduct industry and investment research using specialized databases.
    • Prepare investment analysis, due diligence materials, and internal investment memorandums.
    • Collaborate with team members locally and globally to evaluate new fund opportunities.
    • Monitor fund relationships and support post-investment management.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in the 3rd or 4th year of a Finance, Business Administration, or Economics program.
    • Must be enrolled in a co-op program or returning to studies after the work term.
    • Strong quantitative, research, and analytical skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Pitchbook, Preqin, Bloomberg, and Capital IQ.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    • A strong interest in Finance and Private Equity.

    • Location: Toronto, Ontario.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Term: Summer 2027 (May to August).
    • Compensation: $30 to $34 per hour, depending on experience.
    • Status: Full-time paid internship.
