About the role#
The Repair & Maintenance Intern supports the engineering team at the Omni Mount Washington Resort. This role involves performing mechanical maintenance across guest rooms and public areas, contributing to the upkeep of the property, and assisting with special projects as assigned. This is a full-time, paid, rolling internship opportunity.
What you'll do#
- Maintain mechanical equipment throughout the property, including guest rooms and public spaces.
- Respond to house calls and maintenance requests received via phone or radio.
- Assist engineers and mechanics with various repairs.
- Maintain property pools under the direction of the Certified Pool Operator.
- Complete Daily Work forms to track maintenance activities.
- Clean and organize work areas immediately after completing tasks.
- Manage special projects as assigned by the supervisor.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in Mechanical, Industrial, Civil, or Electrical Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of engineering department operations, fire alarm procedures, and emergency protocols.
- Ability to work in both interior hotel environments and exterior conditions, including exposure to extreme temperatures and hazardous chemicals.
