About the role#
The Repair & Maintenance Intern supports the engineering team at the Omni Mount Washington Resort. You will help keep the property running by maintaining mechanical systems in guest rooms and public areas. This is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Maintain mechanical items across the property, including guest rooms and public spaces.
- Respond to house calls directed via phone or radio.
- Assist engineers and mechanics with various repairs.
- Maintain property pools under the direction of the Certified Pool Operator.
- Document your tasks by filling out the Daily Work form.
- Clean your work areas after every job.
- Complete special projects as assigned by your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of engineering department operations.
- Understanding of fire alarm procedures and emergency protocols.
- Familiarity with hotel rules and regulations.
- Students pursuing degrees in Mechanical, Industrial, Civil, or Electrical Engineering, or Business Administration.
Location & details#
- Location: Bretton Woods, New Hampshire.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Environment: You will work throughout the interior of the hotel and across the exterior grounds. This role involves exposure to various weather conditions, extreme temperatures, and hazardous chemicals.
