About the role#
As a structural engineering intern, you will join our Bridge team to work on real-world projects. You will work alongside experienced engineers on designs that improve communities. This role offers hands-on experience in the office and potentially at job sites.
What you'll do#
- Assist with basic project design using CAD drafting.
- Conduct research and write technical reports.
- Support work on retaining walls, dams, bridges, and storm and traffic structures.
- Participate in inspections, rehabilitations, and load ratings.
- Travel to job sites for observation.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in civil or architectural engineering with a structural emphasis.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
