About the role#
AtkinsRéalis is looking for a Structural Engineering Intern to join our team in Denver for the Summer 2027 term. This is a paid, part-time, on-site position designed to provide hands-on experience and mentorship from senior professionals.
What you'll do#
- Prepare materials for reports and permit applications.
- Assist senior engineers with the planning, design, and production of engineering drawings.
- Develop engineering calculations under supervision.
- Collect and analyze project data using established procedures.
- Review shop drawings for conformance with project specifications.
- Observe construction procedures and collect samples for quality control testing.
- Assist with recordkeeping and the generation of progress reports.
- Provide administrative and operations support to the team.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least 60 credit hours toward a Civil Engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by Summer 2027.
- A focus in structures is preferred.
- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
- A valid US driver’s license.
- A willingness to learn.

- Compensation: $25 to $31 per hour.
