About the role#
AtkinsRéalis is hiring a Water Resources Engineering Intern for our Atlanta office during the Summer 2027 term. This is a paid, part-time position based on-site. You will participate in our Explore intern development initiative, which includes mentorship, client site visits, and weekly lunch and learn sessions.
What you'll do#
- Use CAD software to develop and update engineering drawings and layouts for drainage and transportation projects.
- Perform hydrologic, hydraulic, and other engineering calculations using established tools.
- Prepare technical memoranda, reports, and project documentation.
- Assist with the production and quality control review of construction plans, specifications, and other project deliverables.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Completion of at least 60 credit hours toward your degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of Summer 2027.
- Basic computer skills for data entry into spreadsheets or databases.
- Math skills for performing simple calculations and a willingness to learn.
- Experience with MicroStation is preferred but not required.

- The role is located at 2018 Powers Ferry Rd, Atlanta, Georgia.
- This is an on-site, part-time internship for Summer 2027.
- Compensation is $25 to $31 per hour, depending on your skills and experience.
