About the role#
As a summer 2027 engineering intern with our Transmission and Distribution team, you will perform hands-on work that connects your classroom learning to real-world projects. You will help design electrical networks and high-powered substations that support energy demands in our communities. This is a full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to the design of electrical networks and high-powered substations.
- Use AutoCAD to assist with project design.
- Perform research and write technical reports.
- Travel to job sites for observation as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for electrical, civil, or mechanical engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong math and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
Location & details#
This position is based on-site in one of our offices: Fort Worth, Texas; Lincoln, Nebraska; Omaha, Nebraska; or Overland Park, Kansas.
