About the role#
As an intern with the Industrial Facilities Engineering and Design team, you will work within our Process Engineering group. This role offers hands-on experience where you will work alongside experienced engineers to support real industrial projects. You will gain technical skills and see how engineering concepts apply to professional challenges.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the planning, design, and evaluation of process systems for industrial projects.
- Support process calculations, equipment selection, and various engineering studies.
- Prepare technical documentation and design deliverables.
- Participate in site visits to see projects in action.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop solutions focused on efficiency, safety, reliability, and sustainability.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- Coursework or experience with thermodynamics, mass transfer, and chemical reaction kinetics.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with process modeling tools like Aspen or ChemCAD is preferred.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship.
- The position is based on-site in either Lincoln, Nebraska, or Omaha, Nebraska.
- We offer a rolling term for this role.
