About the role#
Okanagan College is seeking a Student Assistant to support the Recruitment and Events team. This role involves assisting with campus recruitment initiatives, providing general tours, and supporting various student-focused events. This is a paid, on-site student position based in Kelowna.
What you'll do#
- Assist the Recruitment department with event set-up and logistics.
- Greet attendees and provide support at event check-in points.
- Conduct general campus tours for prospective students and visitors.
- Support campus information nights, information booths, and local career fairs.
- Assist with orientation, student appreciation, and student life events.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program at Okanagan College.
- Proficiency in various computer software applications.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Well-developed organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Prior work experience is considered an asset.
- Preference may be given to students who demonstrate financial need.
