About the role#
College Financial Representatives build an integrated financial planning practice from the ground up. You will gain experience by working with local and nationwide experts while using proprietary planning software. This role allows you to build a professional network and develop your own business strategy.
What you'll do#
- Prospect and network to build your client base.
- Develop and execute a business strategy.
- Call on potential clients and set meetings to understand their financial goals.
- Prepare plans and offer recommendations.
- Engage in weekly coaching, training, and development meetings.
- Obtain Risk Product State Licensing for Life, Accident, and Health.
- Build practical life skills for your future career.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student, with a preference for juniors and seniors.
- Majors in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or Marketing.
- Entrepreneurial ambition and curiosity for sales.
- Involvement in campus activities such as student government, athletics, or organizations.
- Excellent time-management skills.
- Interest in financial literacy and planning tools.
- Business savvy and a desire to improve critical thinking abilities.
Location & details#
- Location: Troy, Michigan.
- This is an on-site, paid internship.
- The program term is rolling and offers a flexible schedule to accommodate classes.
- Compensation includes performance-based earnings, productivity bonuses, and learning incentives.
