About the role#
College Financial Representatives build an integrated financial planning practice from the ground up. You will work with local and nationwide experts to gain experience in the financial services industry. This program provides a framework to build your professional network and develop your skills while balancing your academic responsibilities.
What you'll do#
- Prospect and network to build a client base.
- Develop and execute a business strategy.
- Call on potential clients to set meetings and understand their financial goals.
- Prepare plans and offer recommendations.
- Use proprietary financial planning software.
- Participate in weekly coaching, training, and development meetings.
- Obtain Risk Product State Licensing for Life, Accident, and Health.
What you'll need#
- You are a full-time student, preferably a junior or senior.
- You have entrepreneurial ambitions and an interest in sales.
- You are involved on campus through leadership roles, athletics, or student organizations.
- You possess strong time-management and critical thinking skills.
- You have an interest in financial literacy and planning tools.
- You are business savvy.
