College Financial Representatives build an integrated financial planning practice from the ground up. You will gain experience in the financial services industry while working with local and nationwide experts. This role allows you to build a professional network and help people work toward financial goals. You will operate with a flexible schedule that accommodates your classes.
What you'll do#
- Prospect and network to build your business and client base.
- Develop and execute a personal business strategy.
- Call on potential clients and set meetings to discuss their financial goals.
- Prepare plans and offer recommendations to clients.
- Use proprietary planning software platforms.
- Attend weekly coaching, training, and development meetings.
- Obtain Risk Product State Licensing for Life, Accident, and Health.
- Build life skills that support future career opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student, with a preference for juniors and seniors.
- Interest in sales and entrepreneurial goals.
- Active involvement on campus, such as leadership roles, athletics, or student organizations.
- Strong time-management skills.
- Curiosity about financial literacy and planning tools.
- Business savvy and a desire to improve critical thinking skills.
