About the role#
As a College Financial Representative, you will build an integrated financial planning practice from the ground up. This program provides a framework for you to develop a professional network and gain experience in the financial services industry. You will work as an independent contractor, allowing you to build your business while balancing your academic schedule.
What you'll do#
- Prospect and network to build your client base.
- Develop and execute a business strategy.
- Call on potential clients and set meetings to discuss their financial goals.
- Prepare financial plans and offer recommendations.
- Use proprietary planning software platforms.
- Participate in weekly coaching, training, and development meetings.
- Obtain Risk Product State Licensing for Life, Accident, and Health.
- Build life skills that support future career opportunities.
What you'll need#
- You are a full-time student, preferably a junior or senior.
- You have entrepreneurial ambitions and an interest in sales.
- You are involved on campus through leadership roles, athletics, or student organizations.
- You have strong time-management skills.
- You are interested in financial literacy and planning tools.
- You possess business savvy and a desire to improve your critical thinking.
- Majors in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or Marketing are relevant.
