About the role#
College Financial Representatives build an integrated financial planning practice from the ground up. You will develop a professional network and gain experience in the financial services industry. This program provides a framework for you to build your business while receiving guidance and access to proprietary planning software.
What you'll do#
- Prospect and network to build your client base.
- Develop and execute a business strategy.
- Call on potential clients to set meetings.
- Understand client financial goals and offer recommendations.
- Prepare financial plans.
- Engage in weekly coaching, training, and development meetings.
- Obtain Risk Product State Licensing for Life, Accident, and Health.
- Build life skills to support future career opportunities.
What you'll need#
- You are a full-time student, preferably a junior or senior.
- You have entrepreneurial ambitions and a curiosity for sales.
- You are highly involved on campus through leadership roles, athletics, or student organizations.
- You possess excellent time-management skills.
- You have an interest in financial literacy and planning tools.
- You are business savvy and want to increase your critical thinking abilities.

- This role is based in Birmingham, Alabama.
- The position is on-site.
- This is a paid, full-time internship with a rolling term.
