About the role#
As a College Financial Representative, you will build an integrated financial planning practice from the ground up. You will gain professional experience while working with experts, using proprietary software, and learning how to help people manage their financial goals. This role allows you to build a professional network and develop your business skills while balancing your academic commitments.
What you'll do#
- Prospect and network to build your client base.
- Develop and execute a business strategy.
- Call potential clients to set meetings and identify their financial goals.
- Prepare financial plans and offer recommendations.
- Use proprietary planning software platforms.
- Participate in weekly coaching, training, and development meetings.
- Obtain Risk Product State Licensing for Life, Accident, and Health.
- Build life skills that support your future career.
What you'll need#
- You are a full-time student, preferably a junior or senior.
- You have entrepreneurial ambitions and an interest in sales.
- You are highly involved on campus as a leader, athlete, or member of a student organization.
- You possess excellent time-management skills.
- You have an interest in financial literacy and planning tools.
- You are business savvy and want to improve your critical thinking.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or Marketing.
Location & details#
- Location: Washington, District of Columbia.
- Modality: On-site.
- Term: Rolling.
- Compensation: Performance-based earnings, revenue, productivity bonuses, and learning and development incentives up to $1000 per month. The company provides support for insurance licensing and exam registrations.
