About the role#
This internship offers a chance to gain professional experience within our Private Wealth Management team. You will work alongside Financial Advisors, acting as a contributing team member while applying classroom knowledge to real-world scenarios. This is a full-time, on-site position based in our Alexandria office for the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support Financial Advisors on various projects, including report reviews and research.
- Prepare materials for client meetings and presentations.
- Assist with financial planning and market research tasks.
- Handle administrative duties, answer calls, and address basic client questions.
- Contribute to branch marketing initiatives.
- Process necessary paperwork and documentation.
- Perform additional project support as required.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- A clear interest in building a career in private wealth management.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and staff.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and maintain high attention to detail.
- High levels of motivation, proactivity, and a commitment to learning.
- Prior office experience is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Alexandria, Virginia.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 37.5 to 40 hours per week.
- Compensation: $20.00 per hour with paid holidays.
- Note: This position does not offer visa sponsorship.
