About the role#
This internship position is part of the Production Engineering and Operations organization. You will work on-site in Melbourne, Florida, during the summer of 2027. The role is full-time, requiring 40 hours per week for at least 10 weeks.
What you'll do#
- Design and develop manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, machining, and material handling.
- Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, and maintain equipment, components, and systems.
- Follow engineering drawings and instructions to complete tasks.
- Operate equipment and conduct tests, reporting data in the prescribed format.
- Perform calibration and alignment checks, making adjustments or replacements as directed.
- Prepare prescribed compounds and solutions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited university, graduating after August 2027.
- A major in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related STEM field.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
- Preferred qualifications include a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher, previous internship or co-op experience, and demonstrated leadership and communication skills.
