    About the role#

    Northrop Grumman is hiring electrical engineering students for the Space Intern Program in Dulles, Virginia. This is a full-time, paid summer 2027 internship. You will work on-site for at least 10 weeks, applying engineering theory and principles to real-world projects.

    What you'll do#

    • Perform engineering design, development, analysis, and testing tasks.
    • Ensure your work meets specific cost, quality, schedule, and performance requirements.
    • Interpret design specifications, technical drawings, and test results to ensure compliance with engineering standards.
    • Troubleshoot system-level problems to isolate root causes and recommend workarounds.
    • Conduct verification testing and data collection to support corrective actions.
    • Write technical documentation and contribute to presentations or technical papers.

    What you'll need#

    • Current full-time enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in a STEM field, specifically Electrical, Computer, or Aerospace Engineering.
    • You must be enrolled as a full-time student in Fall 2027.
    • Availability to work 40 hours per week on-site for at least 10 weeks during the summer of 2027.
    • U.S. citizenship.
