About the role#
Northrop Grumman is seeking interns for the Systems Engineering directorate within the Aeronautics Systems Sector. This program provides exposure to the full lifecycle of complex systems, from initial concept and design through fabrication, testing, and maintenance. You will work alongside software, hardware, and quality teams to support development and integration efforts.
What you'll do#
- Perform systems engineering tasks across all project phases, including installation and operation.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate engineering processes.
- Systematically integrate, assemble, and verify system elements at various levels.
- Build skills in specializations such as Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), requirements engineering, modeling and simulation, and systems architecture.
What you'll need#
- Current full-time enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited institution, with a graduation date after August 2027.
- Major in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Systems Engineering, or Industrial & Systems Engineering.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week for at least 10 weeks during Summer 2027.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
