About the role#
This Systems Engineering internship is based in Roy, Utah, within the Strategic Deterrent Systems Division. It is a full-time, paid position during the summer of 2027. You will work on-site for at least 10 weeks.
What you'll do#
- Perform technical planning, system integration, and validation.
- Conduct cost, risk, and effectiveness analyses across the product lifecycle, from design and fabrication to maintenance and disposal.
- Convert customer requirements into complete system solutions while managing technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Execute functional and timeline analyses, trade studies, and requirements allocation to define hardware and software specifications.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time student in an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited college or university, with plans to remain enrolled in Fall 2027.
- A major in Aerospace, Chemical, Computer, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week for at least 10 weeks during the summer of 2027.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.

- Compensation: Pay is based on degree level, with bachelor's students earning $23.00 to $29.00 per hour and master's students earning $32.75 to $35.50 per hour.
