About the role#
As a Process Engineering Intern, you will apply standard engineering techniques and procedures to a variety of technical tasks. You will work on-site in our manufacturing facility, supporting production efficiency, quality, and documentation. This is a full-time, paid position that offers hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist with validation activities, including IQ/OQ/PQ testing for new equipment and mold tools.
- Measure parts, conduct functional testing, analyze data, and draft qualification reports.
- Improve production flow and safety by applying 5S principles and organizing WIP and Finished Goods areas.
- Set up new conveyor systems and identify ways to reduce conversion costs.
- Collect and analyze production data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Propose process improvements for assembly and quality lab operations.
- Support root cause analysis for CAPAs using tools like fishbone diagrams and pareto charts.
- Create and update standard operating procedures, work instructions, and process documentation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a B.S. or M.S. program in an engineering field.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD design software, with a preference for SolidWorks.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Basic knowledge of ERP software, specifically SAP or IQMS.
- A hands-on approach to working in a manufacturing facility.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work as a self-motivated individual.
