About the role#
Nordson Corporation is hiring a Software Intern for our site in Minneapolis. This is a full-time, paid position. You will work on new product development, continuous improvement, and devops projects. You will collaborate with the Software, Firmware, Electrical, and Operations teams to calibrate products and maintain existing code bases.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the new product development cycle.
- Work with firmware engineers to communicate with embedded devices.
- Help systems engineers calibrate and certify products.
- Resolve bugs for internal customers.
- Write unit and stress tests to validate software performance.
- Assist in testing software releases.
- Collect and process data for the algorithm team.
- Contribute to software process improvement efforts.
- Recommend improvements for user interfaces.
- Perform additional engineering support tasks as needed.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to organize data and communicate findings clearly.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivation and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Familiarity with C#, C++/CLI, native C++, CUDA, Azure DevOps, or Visual Studio is preferred.
- Experience with Python or Matlab is a plus.
- Experience with Winforms and WPF user interface design is preferred.
