About the role#
The Technology Summer Analyst Program in Risk Technology is a 10-week internship. You will work as a full member of the team, gaining exposure to Nomura professionals through seminars and discussion groups. You will be paired with a buddy and a senior mentor to support your work throughout the summer.
What you'll do#
- Develop and integrate applications for business stakeholders.
- Own critical components of applications and engage in hands-on development.
- Work with QA teams to perform unit and integration testing.
- Partner with business analysts to define project requirements and scope.
- Use AI and machine learning to improve risk analytics.
- Build tools to automate workflows and support data-driven decision making.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science or a related field in the United States.
- You have a strong GPA and academic record.
- You have an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- You are familiar with programming in Java or Python and web technologies like HTML, JavaScript, JSP, or ASP.
- You have experience with Unix Shell or Perl scripting.
- You possess a solid foundation in data structures and problem-solving.
- You have strong communication and organizational skills.
- You are able to learn about financial products and are comfortable working on mission-critical systems.

- Location: New York, New York.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: The role pays an annualized base salary of $95,000 to $105,000, depending on your degree program. This is a non-exempt position eligible for overtime.
- Eligibility: You must be authorized to work in the United States. Nomura does not provide visa sponsorship for this position, including for CPT or OPT.
