About the role#
The Risk Management Summer Analyst Program is a 10-week internship designed to provide hands-on experience within the Americas Risk Management Division. Analysts work as full members of the team, gaining exposure to credit, market, and operational risk functions. You will work closely with a peer and interact regularly with a senior mentor. This program serves as a primary pipeline for our full-time recruiting efforts.
What you'll do#
Depending on your assigned team, you will contribute to core risk functions:
- Analyze credit quality for various counterparty types and evaluate proposed transactions.
- Manage traded positions and understand the behavior of financial products and market risk metrics.
- Protect the firm from non-financial risks by providing independent oversight and challenging business units on risk management.
- Support deep-dive reviews to test processes and controls.
- Develop risk modelling frameworks to quantify potential losses and assist in VaR model research and testing.
- Assist in model validation by reviewing documentation, evaluating conceptual soundness, and performing statistical analyses.
- Provide governance for new business and coordinate transaction approval processes.
- Design risk reports and dashboards while implementing reporting controls.
- Maintain data integrity, resolve quality issues, and develop data architectures for risk infrastructure.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or Finance.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- A minimum GPA of 3.5.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- A motivated approach and a working knowledge of the financial services industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Current authorization to work for any employer in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.
