    About the role#

    Join us as an IP Routing Application Engineer intern to gain experience in real-world network environments. You will work alongside professionals to analyze network components, assist with troubleshooting in multi-vendor environments, and contribute to team performance. This role offers the chance to collaborate with internal teams while learning about customer needs and how large-scale systems stay connected.

    What you'll do#

    • Acquire a deep understanding of IP/MPLS networks.
    • Gain hands-on experience with 7750 Service Routers and 7250/7220 IXR Data Center Routers.
    • Assist team members with the physical deployment and cabling of network topologies.
    • Develop techniques in the troubleshooting and reproduction of real-world issues.
    • Collaborate with internal teams and gain exposure to Customer Issue Management.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field at an accredited school in Canada.
    • Interest in the 7x50 series of carrier-grade service routers and how IP/MPLS networks function.
    • Critical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
    • Attention to detail and excellent communication skills for explaining technical concepts.
    • Good organizational and time management skills.
    • Familiarity with the following is preferred: Nokia Service Routing Certification (SRC) program, IP/MPLS and routing protocols (OSPF, IS-IS, BGP), IP network troubleshooting, Linux/Unix environments, and automation via Bash/Shell scripting or Python.

    • Term: Winter 2027 (January to April).
    • Location: Ottawa, Ontario.
    • Modality: On-site and hybrid options available.
    • Employment type: Full-time paid internship.
