About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for the Winter 2027 term. You will work on-site in Ottawa, Ontario, as part of our hardware development organization. You will contribute to the design and validation of switching circuit packs and gain hands-on experience by working alongside our engineering team.
What you'll do#
- Design and validate hardware for next-generation switching circuit packs.
- Perform hardware test and debug activities on new and existing printed circuit boards.
- Manage prototype inventory and handle board programming tasks.
- Conduct design verification to evaluate performance, functionality, operating margins, and robustness.
- Analyze thermal performance, signal integrity, and component qualification results.
- Create and update design documentation, including test reports, plans, and specifications.
- Use Cadence CAD tools for layout review, schematic capture, and design analysis.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program for Electrical Engineering.
- Ability to communicate clearly and work well within a team.
- Experience with lab equipment like logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and test sets.
- Knowledge of high-speed signaling, transmission lines, and digital or analog circuit design.
- Familiarity with hardware debug techniques and PCB schematic capture tools.

- Term: Winter 2027 (4 months).
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $25.50 - $35.00 CAD per hour.
