About the role#
The New York Post is seeking a part-time Sports Video Production Intern for the fall 2026 term. This role supports the production of Schein Time, the daily live sports show. You will gain hands-on experience across pre-production, live studio operations, talent support, and post-production by working directly with the executive producer, director, and on-air talent.
What you'll do#
- Pitch story and segment ideas to the production team.
- Assist the director and assistant director with floor producing and studio equipment setup.
- Log segments and full shows for archival purposes.
- Gather, organize, and edit video and sound-on-tape clips.
- Handle guest outreach and coordination for in-studio appearances.
- Support the social media producer with clip editing and distribution across digital channels.
- Monitor rundowns and provide real-time support during live broadcasts.
What you'll need#
- Strong interest in sports media, digital content production, and live studio environments.
- Passion for New York sports and online sports news.
- Familiarity with YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X, and Facebook.
- Basic video editing and clip organization skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with producers, directors, and talent.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Location & details#
- Location: 1211 Ave of the Americas, New York City, New York.
- Term: September 14, 2026, to November 20, 2026.
- Schedule: 24 hours per week, on-site.
- Compensation: $20 per hour.
- Eligibility: Open to current juniors and seniors, graduate students, and recent graduates who completed their degree within the past year.
