About the role#
The New York Post is seeking a Sunday Intern for the Fall 2026 term. This role offers hands-on experience within the editorial team responsible for the Sunday Edition. Interns will work alongside staff reporters to pitch, develop, and execute stories for both print and digital platforms. This is a paid, part-time position requiring 24 hours of work per week.
What you'll do#
- Pitch story ideas to the editorial team and execute approved assignments.
- Assist reporters with research using social media, databases, and other digital tools.
- Go on location to report, gather quotes, and observe events to support news coverage.
- Help craft engaging stories for the Sunday Edition, including breaking news, features, and celebrity culture content.
- Collaborate with the team to contribute to the development of articles under tight deadlines.
What you'll need#
- A deep interest in journalism and a keen sense of news judgment.
- Strong writing skills and a creative approach to storytelling.
- Ability to work as a self-starter independently.
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a degree program in Journalism, Communications, or English.
- Knowledge of New York City is preferred.
