About the role#
New York Life is seeking a Sales Summer Intern for a 10-week program within the Group Benefit Solutions (GBS) division. This role provides hands-on exposure to sales and account management in the employee benefits industry. You will work alongside experienced sales representatives and account executives to support local office operations and business development.
What you'll do#
- Support field sales and account management teams with business development tasks.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and brokers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners in underwriting, marketing, and operations to meet business objectives.
- Use technology tools and business platforms to organize information and analyze data.
- Work with other interns on a capstone project focused on innovation and problem-solving.
- Participate in mentorship and networking opportunities with sales leaders.
What you'll need#
- You are a rising senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: Hybrid (3 days per week in the office).
