About the role#
The Technology, Data, AI & Ventures (TDAV) organization at New York Life focuses on deploying technology and data solutions to maintain a competitive advantage. This 11-week summer internship provides hands-on experience, allowing interns to work on complex systems and contribute to measurable business outcomes within a financial services environment.
What you'll do#
- Support projects that drive continuous improvement and operational effectiveness across technology teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional groups to redesign processes, document improvements, and support the adoption of shared frameworks and tools.
- Analyze data and trends to inform decision-making processes.
- Create dashboards and reports to monitor performance and adoption metrics.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve operations through automation and enablement initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Genuine interest in financial services and emerging technologies, specifically artificial intelligence (AI).
- Ability to work full-time for the 11-week duration of the program.
- Note: Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship. This program is not available to those authorized to work under Optional Practical Training (OPT) or Curricular Practical Training (CPT).
