About the role#
The Technology, Data, AI & Ventures (TDAV) organization at New York Life focuses on deploying technology, data, and AI to support the company's business goals. This internship provides hands-on experience in a professional financial services environment, allowing participants to work on complex systems and contribute to operational improvements. The program includes team-building activities, a collaborative intern capstone, and networking opportunities with experienced employees.
What you'll do#
- Support projects that drive continuous improvement, standardization, and operational effectiveness across technology teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to redesign processes, document improvements, and support the adoption of shared frameworks, tools, and best practices.
- Analyze data and trends to inform decision-making.
- Create dashboards and reports to monitor adoption and performance.
- Identify opportunities to improve operations through automation and enablement initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Genuine interest in financial services and emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence.
- Ability to work full-time for the 11-week duration of the program (May to August 2027).
- Note: This program does not provide employment-based immigration sponsorship, and it is not available to those authorized to work under OPT or CPT.
Location & details#
- Location: New York, New York.
- Work Modality: Hybrid, with three days per week required on-site.
- Compensation: $30 to $35 per hour plus a $3,000 bonus.
- Term: Summer 2027.
